Hello friends!  I have another sneak peek for you of a couple FABULOUS sets coming your way Mar 1 at Our Daily Bread designs!  Don't you just love this fun apron?  It's an ODBD Custom Die!!!  I am sneak peeking several new things here: Gingham Background, Baking Tag Sentiments, Baking Gift Tags, and Recipe for a Happy Marriage.

Here is the inside:

Don't you just love this recipe?  So many possibilities for it, and all the other sets are just making me giddy!!!  I used the Gingham Background stamped with Colorbox Pigment ink in Surf on white card stock.  The sentiments and tag are stamped with Memento Black.  I added a SB Resplendent Rectangles die cut edge to my pockets for "lace" and the little tools in the apron pocket are all part of the die set!!! Soooo fun!!!

I am entering this in Word Art Wed. Challenge, where you can get and use their free digis or create anything with a spiritual or uplifting sentiment/verse.

Hope to see you Mar 1!  I promise you... you will WANT to join in this hop!!!

Have a great rest of the week!!!

Another Yummy Sneak Peek!

Hello friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I've been having some fun!  Can you tell?  I just had to give another  sneak peek at a couple of many fun sets to be released Mar 1 by Our Daily Bread designs. I used Baking Gift Tags, Baking Tag Sentiments, and a custom SB made die, Recipe Card & Tags.

Very simply, I stamped with Memento and Colorbox inks, die cut my circles and matted with scalloped circles, (2 for each pick), then I adhered the pick to one circle with strong Aleen's jewelry glue, and then glued a front and back together, clipping until dry. I thought these made cute little cupcake decor. Oh these sets have so many fun possibilities!  I can't wait for you to see the rest!!!  Hope to see you on the Hop on Mar 1, starting at the ODBD Blog!

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Everybody-Art-Challenge - #225 Tag ( these are tags... but I put them on sticks!),  Through The Craft Room Door  - Always Anything Goes!, Top Tip Tuesday -  Tag You're It - Make a tag or use a tag, Cheerful Stamp Pad -  Anything But a Card, Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything Goes, Created With Love -Bright and Cheery, Incy Wincy Designs -  Anything But a Card

A Sneaky Peek and Believe it or not, a Single Layer!

Hello friends!  I hope your weekend was simply wonderful and that your week is off to a great start! Today I am sharing a little sneak peek at one tiny little image and a verse from one of the MANY new sets coming your way Mar. 1 at Our Daily Bread designs!  I played in today's Clean and Simple Challenge on SCS, which was to choose one of Ceals fabulous designs and case it.  Well, Ceal is a very talented CAS designer, and I can never get CAS to look good, at least to my eye, so I challenged myself to try a single layer card, and chose this card to case.

I wanted to use this little egg image from a new set called Happy Spring, but I paper pieced it just for the fun of it.  I also used the ODBD custom fence die on a scrap of brown card stock.  The patterned papers I used are from My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy.  I love this verse It's at the very heart of who we are in Christ, so I was very excited to see it in this new set!

I also played in the following challengs:
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Paper Piecing, Stamp and Create -  Spring, Paper Playtime - Use a Sentiment Stamp, The Pink Elephant Monday Card Challenge -Anything Goes,
Whoopsi Daisy -  Add a Sentiment,

This card came together very quickly (for me) so I'm glad I took the challenge to do a single layer card!  Not saying it's ever going to be "my style", but it's good to stretch yourself and learn new things!

I hope your week is filled with blessings from above, and I do hope you won't miss the release on Mar 1!  There are sooooooo many new and very fun things coming your way... you won't want to miss them!!!

See you then!

Just one more!

Hello friends!  It's Friday!!!  I hope you have a great weekend ahead of you!

I have one more card to share with you using this month's new release from Our Daily Bread designs.  This is called Chalkboards- Amazing Grace. It was made for a color challenge on SCS, but I had not had the chance to share it here with you.

The card itself is very simple, stamped with VersaFine and the matting is embossed with a T Holtz musical score folder.  A little  burlap and a May Arts Silk ribbon and a few black pearls are the only embellishments, but I kind of like how it came out and I think it could be used for a man or a woman, even if you wanted to remove the bow.

So the DT is busy creating samples for you with the upcoming March release and WOW!  Can I ever tell you that it will totally knock your socks off!!! Don't miss the hop on Mar 1 to be blown away by everything the design team is coming up with!  You will LOVE these sets, and did I mention not one but two custom die sets?  Just sayin.... Stay tuned!

Have a blessed weekend!

The Lord is My Shepherd

Hello friends!

Today I have a card I made for today's TLC on SCS.  We were to use Washi Tape, or make our own using the instructions given in the Resource section so since I don't have any washi tape, I made my own.

My focal image is this month's ODBD The Shepherd set, as is the sentiment and the shepherds staff.  I stamped the lamb image with Memento ink and colored with Copics.  I cut with SB Classic Circles Sm and matted with Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails oval (the inside die) and then the CL Italian Flourish Doily.  My sentiment is cut with a McGill tag punch, and the white doily mat is punched with an MS around the page punch.  The dp is Martha Stewart.  The gingham ribbon is my only embellishment besides the faux washi tape, which I made by stamping the ODBD Vine Background with White Craft Ink and heat embossing, then cutting along the lines of the pattern formed with the bg.  I sponged just a little for better demarkation.

I love this sweet set, not only for Easter, but for many other things from a sweet baby card to a card of encouragement with this wonderful Ps.  It makes a beautiful Spring card.... so many possibilities and so little time!  LOL!

I hope your week is off to a great start and may God fill it with many blessings!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I do love knowing you were here!!!

This was the sentiment I submitted for this set and I think it has so many different uses.

For this card I used white and real red and layered up Spellbinders Labels 8, Decorative Labels 8, and Floral Ovals.  I also decorated with Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish Small.  The little white roses are ZVA Creative.  The ribbon is May Arts.

Inspired by Stamping IC

Hello freinds!  Today I am honored to be guest designing for Inspired by Stamping

Isn't this inspiration picture yummy??

When I printed off the inspiration photo, the brown ink looked lighter than this photo does now.  Yikes!  Well, I used kraft but sponged with Latte ink so hopefully this brown will do.  I wanted to capture the beautiful roses,  and I was thrilled to find some dp with little daisies on it as well, which fit the inspiration photo to a tee!

I used a  Sweet Stamps  image, colored with Copics.  My sentiment is Hero Arts and cut with a Spellbinders Back to Basics Tag.  My base is kraft and the designer paper is Loolah (Iron Orchids designs) from Hobby Lobby, and Memory Box Gossamer.  The ribbon is May Arts silk and bakers twine.

Wouldn't you love to play along?
Rules of the challenge: Use the colors in the photo as your main colors. Upload your card/project to your blog or online gallery and leave a link to your project using the linky widget at the bottom of the IBSIC Blog post

At this time ALL products (stamps, paper, dies) are welcomed. You do not have to incorporate an IBS stamp set or flowers. (However when you see them, you will want them!  Just sayin... )

Thanks for stopping by and please stop by Inspired by Stamping and check out the awesome challenge!

Singing Praise with pink chalk!

Hello friends!  I have another card to share with you this evening.  I made this card using Our Daily Bread designs newly released Chalkboard- Hymns Set as well as Words of Faith.    I started with a base of smokey gray, and layered on Pink Paislee dp (London Market).  I used a THoltz bracket die cut and a musical score embossing folder to mat my chalkboard, which I stamped with VersaFine and then sponged with vintage rose.  I stamped the word Praise from the Words of Faith Set, then stamped the border from the Antique Labels Designs set, and cut with the custom die made for ODBD by Spellbinders Paper Arts. Lots of distressing with Distress Inks give  a vintage feel.  Some seam binding, lace and a stick pin with a heart bead finished it off.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes, Stamptacular Sunday - Sentiment as main focus- from the heart, Challenges 4 Everybody - Always Anything Goes, No Matter Which Challenges - Ribbons and Bows, Hybrid Chick - Hearts, 2 Sisters - hearts, Hiding out in my Craft Room - Super Scraps Sat., Word Art Wednesday - use their free digi or use any Scripture or encouraging sentiment

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I love knowing you were here!  I hope your heart is filled with praise today!

Earth's Gladdest Day!

Hello friends!  I  have a real CAS card to share with you!  I'm really working on trying to conquer the CAS look... and I think I'm getting more comfortable with it!  This card is made with this month's release from ODBD - Earth's Gladdest Day.

I stamped the image with Memento and colored with Copics.  I hand cut the image and mounted on a Spellbinders Floral Oval frame.  I also colored a strip for the horizontal panel.  I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine for a heavier ink coverage.  I find this sentiment so touching!  It just might be one of my favorite Easter sentiments ever! This is one of my favorite color combos too!

Well... simple to make, simple to explain!  Hope you liked it!

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Brown Sugar – anything goes, Cards by Lady Anne - Sentimental For Friday -- Anything Goes, Copic Marker Europe - Anything goes with Copic Markers, Crafts and Me - #119 Favorite color combo, WordArt Wednesdays -   word art freebie OR use an encouraging uplifting sentiment - #66 anything goes

Hello friends!
With Easter coming early this year, it's time to get those Easter cards made and ready!  This month's release at Our Daily Bread designs has some perfect sets for Easter and honestly I love them all!  If you know me, you KNOW I love all the flower stamps, but I also love this absolutely sweet lamb set!  It's called The Shepherd and I think the artwork is just awesome!  I created this card using Spellbinders Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8.  I also used a SB Back to Basics Tag.  My scene is colored with Copics and then I popped up the Our Daily Bread designs Fence Die cut on 1/8" dimensionals to give just a little depth.  The greenery is punched with a Punch Bunch punch.  The flower is a Prima.

Here is the set I usesd:

May Birthday Blessings Fill You with Joy!

Hello friends!    I have another card to share with you today using this month's Our Daily Bread designs release.  This set is Chalkboard - Birthday and Thanks.   I wanted to show that because these stamps have a solid background, you can easily stamp them with any color or technique that you like!  Chalkboards are definitely trending right now... but for those times you are sending to someone who you know would prefer softer colors, this stamp is still the perfect solution!  I stamped my white card stock with Sage Shadow Ink, which was a perfect match for this pretty designer paper from BasicGrey called True Love.  I used ruby red and sage shadow card stock, and also white for the SB Lattice frame.  I cut my mat with SB Lable 23 and sponged each layer.  Most layers are popped up with dimensionals.  At the bottom is an Martha Stewart edge punch (Lattice but I only used part of it that looks like ric rak)  The ribbon is May Arts.  A little bling and metal rose are my only embellishments.  I decorated the inside with coordinating paper.  Hope you like it!

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Cards by Lady Anne / Monday Anything Goes Challenge - Anything Goes, Crafty Bloggers Network -  Anything Goes, Forever Friends -  Use Ribbon or Lace, Love to Create - celebrate, Make it Monday - always Anything Goes,  Paper Playtime - Border Punches' MyGrafico -  Anything Goes, The Crazy Challenge -  Birthday, Word Art Wednesday- use their freebie sentiment, or any encouraging or faith based sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

February Release Blog Hop!

Our Daily Bread designs, Let the Earth Rejoice, Earth's Gladdest Day, designed by Grace Nywening

Hello friends!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Design's February Release Blog Hop! If you got here from our Sweet Sandee's blog, you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you don't miss a thing.

I am excited about this month's stamps, and have had a blast playing with them.  Before I share my card, let me just give you the details of the hop:

  • The hop will run from  8am EST Feb 1 until 8pm EST Feb 2
  • Winners will be announced  on the ODBD Blog on Feb 3
  • There will be THREE prizes: One $20.00 Gift Certificate, One $40.00 Gift Certificate, and One $60.00 Gift Certificate  for STAMPS in the ODBD Store!!!
  • To qualify for one of these prizes, simply hop to each designer, leave a comment on each blog, and return to the ODBD Blog to tell us you completed the hop, noting if there were any problems  along the way.  That's it!
Now on to my card....

I made a Z fold card using Let the Earth Rejoice, and Earth's Gladdest Day.  The base is 6 1/4" x 11 1/2" and I scored at 4 1/4" and 7 7/8". The purple designer paper is from Kaisercraft Lilac Ave dp and embossed with a Craftwell embossing folder, then inked with Vintage Violet.   I stamped the image from Let the Earth Rejoice  with Memento and colored with Copics, cut out with Spellbinders Classic Circles Large.  I also used a Spellbinders Lattice Pendent as a mat for my main image.  The bow is May Arts Silk.

I stamped the sentiment and cut with SB Antique Frames and Accents.

For the middle panel, I stamped the image from Earth's Gladdest Day in Vintage Violet and left the rest of the panel white so a message could be added there.

My back panel is simply a piece of green dp from Kaisercraft Lilac Ave. pack, and added a Spellbinders Fancy Lattice.  I wanted that lattice to show from the front of the card, but I liked the entire panel done with is, and with plenty of room on the middle panel for a message, I decided to use the whole die cut.

Here are the new sets I used:
