For the Graduate

Hello everyone! I hope all the Mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day! We had a great weekend away, meeting with friends we have not seen in years, and enjoying the beauty of God's creation! Then yesterday our daughter and grandkids came for a visit and we had a great time together, ending with a yummy dinner at Olive Garden. Yum.... not getting on the scale today though!LOL!

Today I'm showing you a graduation card I made for the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge to make a graduation card. I used the newly released set "For the Graduate" for my image, and "As you Graduate" for the sentiment. To make a different layout I cut my water colored image in half and spread it out, so that I could put the sentiment over it in the middle. The sentiment is airbrushed lightly. I do need more practice on that!!! LOL! I kept my embellishments very simple because I wanted the stamps to pop, not embellishments. The base is Papertrey, the blue is from my stash and the image is on Aquarello Watercolor Paper. The corners are Spellbinders flourishes.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless your week.

  12. You have created an awe inspiring masterpiece!!! Your image is colored beautifully, and I think you did a top notch job with the airbrushing:o) I also love the placement of your sentiment...over the bridge, as God is the bridge between the known and the unknown. With Him...there is nothing to fear!!! A truly captivating creation!!!

    Hugs!
