The Hop will run from 8am EDT May 1 until 8pm EDT. May 2. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on May 3.

For this hop, there will be

at the Our Daily Bread designs store!

Here is what you need to do to be entered in the drawing:

  • Leave comments for each designer on each blog
  • Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment, telling us you completed the hop and noting any blogs you were unable to comment on.
  • Answer the question on the ODBD blog

Now on to my projects... I used the Porch set designed by Dina Kowal to create my card above. I used the Vintage Border Embossing Plate to emboss the lower edge of the matting of the image. I colored the image with Copics.

He-restores-picnic-basket-1

I was inspired by the wicker on the porch scene and decided to create a picnic basket. This is my own design, so if you are interested in a tutorial or instructions on size, etc. mention that in your comment and I will work on it. I embossed the basket with the Vintage Border Embossing Plate and then made strips for the handles. The handles are attached with brads so they swing.

He-restores-picnic-basket-2

The strip around the top of the basket is folded down into the inside after the brads are attached so you have a nice neat inside as well. Then I stamped and cut the verse from the same Picnic set, using my Spellbinders Label Seven, then tracing the outside of the die for my black border. I tied that on with some red gingham ribbon.

He-restores-picnic-3

I then used Scriptures from Scripture Collections 1, 2 and 4. I cut them with Spellbinders Large Classic Rectangles, then matted with red plaid dp and mounted on black. The white cs and tan cs are Gina K. The Black is Basic Black, and the dp is from my stash and is unknown. The Doily is Cheery Lynn designs.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today! Now I'll send you on your way.... from here, hop on over to Sweet Sandee.

Have a wonderful day!!!

  180. This is fantastic. I really love it. It reminds me of a hot summer day, and I wish we had one right now. What a great pick me up. Such a great idea! The way the world is we all need to send these! Thanks for the inspiration, I especially needed it.
