Our Daily Bread designs June 1 Release Blog Hop!

Welcome the the Our Daily Bread designs June Release Blog Hop! If you got here from Dawn's incredible blog, you are in the right place! Now for my project details: I used the fabulous new set designed by Dina Kowal called Serve the Lord, along with the custom die cut for the lace border and main image lacey panel. I also used the Crocheted Background. I can't tell you how much I love this set!!!

I decided to made a card sized pop up gift card holder. The card is 4 x 6" and the original idea came from PaperCrafts Connection a couple years ago. My base is Ruby Red and the dp is Websters Pages triple collection Spring Market/Yacht Club/Country Estate mini pad. For the front I stamped several lace borders with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink on Flourishes white cs. I sponged with THoltz distress ink in Antique Linen. I stamped the image and sentiment with the same ink and colored with Copics. I used the custom die to cut the main panel.... wow! It cuts like a dream! I cut the lace borders to frame my main panel and adhered. The bow is seam binding which I also distressed a bit with ink.

I thought the pop up gift card holder would be perfect for a nice thank you to anyone from a Sunday School teacher, secretary, musican... you name it! Everyone enjoys a little gift card to some place special and it's a great way to show gratitude! I decorated the inside with another sentiment from the set, sponged, framed with a Spellbinders Fancy Tag Two and matted that on a Spellbinders Mega Oval I cut from a paper I had stamped the lace background on, again in rich cocoa. Below is a look at the side view.

    I love this card!! When I saw the front of this card I loved it- the flower, the crotched border, etc. Then I saw it opened to hold a gift card and saw the completed inside and thought- fabulous!!!

    From the stamp I had visualised those as yellow California poppies, but as red poppies are my favourite I just love this :D.

    Wow Grace...this is incredible! I am always amazed at your creativity.

    I love the sentiment and it is so beautifully framed! The paper is delightful and elegant.

    I love the poppies. They are gorgeous. I love all of that framework. The seam-binding is tied so beautifully! The cover reminds me of a vintage box. I love the whole project!
