Hello friends! I'm excited to share a card I made with the brand new Our Daily Bread designs release, the customer favorites Scripture Series 2! As part of our third year anniversary celebration, customers submitted their favorite Scriptures that they would like to use on a card, and after much thought the winners were chosen and made into this special edition set. I loved this Scripture that I used today... and thought I'd try a different shaped card for it. My card base is the Spellbinders Label Twenty One, cut from Papertrey White. I stamped the Scripture, then August's release, Flower Border and cut with my Spellbinders Label Eighteen, which the floral frame was custom made for. I love using my Grand Calibur for cutting multiple items in one pass! Since these labels were different, they could be cut at the same time! I colored my floral frame with Copics. Then I masked and stamped the same frame onto my card base, replicating the design. I did hand dot the outer circles on the sides to match as close as I could. I added some May Arts Wrinkled Gold Ribbon, a ZVA Creative Red Rose, and two rose buds on the other side. I highlighted the vines with gold Spica Pen. A pretty little shape for an A2 envelope, and fun as well!
To see the full release, as well as samples made by the winners of the contest whose verses were chosen, and to hear their stories of why they chose the verse they did, please visit the Our Daily Bread designs Blog! Also, the Design Team has created samples for your inspiration with these Scriptures. Here is the list of participants. There are hidden prizes along the way, so be sure to leave a comment on each one for a chance to win!

ReplyDeleteLove the way you colored the flowers. I do not like websites with music. I very much dislike being subjected to music others have chosen for me. We are bombarded with t.v. and music everywhere we go. If and when I want music, I want to choose my own. Sorry, but this is really one of my pet peeves, which includes t.v.'s blaring in doctors' offices.
ReplyDeleteI love how you highlight the scripture with a simple (but beautiful) frame around the edges of the card. Well done.
