Special Flower Soft & Our Daily Bread Designs Blog Hop with Prizes!

FS-Scrip-detail-2

Are you ready for a Blog Hop?
Come join us in a special blog hop with The Flower Soft  and Our Daily Bread Designs Design Teams!
As you make your way through the hop make sure you comment on each and every post. There will be two prize winners chosen randomly among the blogs.

The blog hop ends on August 30th. The prize winners will be announced on The Flower Soft blog and Our Daily Bread Designs Blog on August 31st.

If you came here from Gini Cagle's blog you are in the right place. If not please start at the beginning at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog. If there are any broken links, please see the complete list on the Our Daily Bread designs Blog or the Flower Soft Blog!

Now, here is my card.

FS-Scripture--teacup

I used the Springtime Card Toppers Collection from Flower Soft for my image panel, and stamped my Scripture using Our Daily Bread Designs Customer Favorites Scripture Series 2.  The verse I used was submitted by Jan Castle and I just love it!  I know I will use it often!

My card base is Coredinations (T Holtz new 12 x 12 pad).  The designer paper is Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Collection.  The doily is Cheery Lynn Dutch Scallop Square Frame.  I used the following colors of Flower Soft to give dimension to this card:  Delphinium Blue, Lilac and Lemon.  What a quick way to give a card some real wow factor!  I sewed my lace (a gift from a sweet friend) to my dp, adhered my image panel to the doily, then added that to the card with foam dimensionals.  I added a few cut outs from a large lace motif I had found in a thrift store and finished with a soft pink sheer bow and pink pearls.  I finished off the inside with an MS edge punch of the dp layered onto white cs.  I hope you enjoyed my creation!

Now hop on over to Dina Kowal's amazing Blog!

This card is also my sample this week for ODBD's Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD42)! The assignment is to use Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  The challenge this rotation is lace! Lace can be a lacy background, die cut, punch, lacy paper, lacey stamp, or real lace.  Remember, the more you play the more you increase your chance to win! We look forward to seeing what you create using ODBD stamps!

The challenge runs from Thursday 9 am EST (August 25th) til Wednesday (September 7th) at 6 pm EST. You have two weeks to enter. You can enter as many times as you like!

Be sure to check out the ODBD Stamping in Time Post on the ODBD Blog for all the  challenge details!

  72. Dear Grace~

This is absolutely sensational! I love the use of lace and doilies. And, you know how crazy I am about tea cups and tea pots! The Scripture is so true! He shows me that every day! It is wonderful timing to remind people of this Scripture, with Hurricane Irene having just come through. The Lord will sustain us!

I love the colors you used from the Flower Soft. They are a fabulous mixture of colors. And, the way you used them-- is so lovely! The bow is a beautiful delicate touch, as are the pearls and the corner treatments!

Grace, I love this piece! It may be my absolute favorite of all!
