October Release Blog Hop!

Hello friends!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs October Release Blog Hop! This is my favorite time of year... with the cooler temperatures, I seem to be more energized and of course, I'm starting to think about the upcoming holidays.... Thanksgiving and Christmas!  Today's hop is all about these two great holidays, and we are excited to be sharing our projects with you today!

Here are the basics of the Hop:
  • Hop will run 8:00am Oct. 1 to  8:00pm EDT Oct. 2
  • Winners will be announced Oct 3
  • There will be SIX prizes of your choice of one set!!!
  • Hop to each link and leave a comment, then return  to tell us you completed the hop, and answer the question on the ODBD blog.
  • Check back on the ODBD Blog on Oct. 3 to see if YOU are one of the winners!
If you got here from Becca's Amazing Paper Grace, then you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you don't miss anyone!

I decided to kick off the upcoming gift giving season with a gift set, so I created a gift bag, embellished a candle and made up a jar of  potpourri to give to a friend for Christmas.  I used O Christmas Tree Carol for all of the pieces, wanting to show how easy it is to create special personalized gifts with just some musical scores and a few embellishments!  These projects were all super quick!  I found my inspiration for some of these things on Pinterest... so I'm passing them on to you to be inspired by.  In addition to the Christmas Carol, I also used the little gift image and sentiment from Perfect Gift, and a past release, Holly Tag and the matching Die to create my tag.

Here are the sets I used:

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs O Christmas Tree Carol, Perfect Gift, Holly Tag, & matching Die
Ink: Memento,  Card Stock: Flourishes, Coloring Medium: Copics
Accessories:  Kraft Gift Bag, Glass Jar from Hobby Lobby, Dollar Store Candle in Jar, Potpourri, Websters Pages ruffled green ribbon, scraps of old lace (one was a gift, one was repurposed from an old dresser scarf), holly embellishments from Hobby Lobby, wired ribbon from Michael's, Twine, Cinnamon Sticks

You can find a recipe for Real Pine Potpourri HERE.  If you don't have all the ingredients, just do like I do and use what you do have, and add the oil in the scent of your choice.

NEWS FLASH!!!  Our Daily Bread designs has a brand new website, and it opens today!  You're going to love how pretty it is, and how easy it is to maneuver!   So have a look, and don't forget to bookmark the new web store so you go to the right place to order or for inspiration!

If you have problems opening the new site while the switch over is being done,  (many are) try using Google Chrome browser.  It does seem to be opening in that.

Thanks so much for stopping by!   Now I will send you on to your next stop, which  is our sweet and talented Sabrina!
Blessings,
