Welcome to the ODBD March Release!

Hello friends!  Welcome to the ODBD March release!  If you have not had a chance to see the entire release you can do so HERE.  Spring is definitely in the air with this release so prepare to enjoy some flowers and spring inspiration!  As always, there are prizes just for visiting each designer's blog and leaving a comment.  Three blessed viewers will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to go toward stamps in the ODBD Store!  You have until March 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on March 6th, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

First card (above) was made using the new Daffodils stamp set and matching custom Daffodil die.
I also used the newly released Circle Scalloped Rectangle dies.   I stamped multiple daffodil images with Daffodil Delight ink to create a background to place behind my Circle Scalloped Rectangle dies.  I did cut and layered the dies, then stamped the daffodil image and die cut with the daffodil die.  I adhered this to my layered dies with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment from the same set and hand cut the panel to fit my layering panel.  I added a seam binding bow and one pearl in the center of the daffodil for a little pop of elegance.  This is a very simple and inexpensive card to create, which we all love, right?

While we are talking about simple, check out the new God's Blessings Coloring Pages, just the perfect size for an A2 card! For the card below I colored my page mostly with Copics, but I did to the lettering with Prisma Pencils.  I added some Wink of Stella to my blossoms for a little bit of shimmer, which really pops off the page in person. I do love coloring these!  I had to get used to the light touch because the ink does spread easily and could possibly wander, so you want to stop short of the line and just let it blend, but I found it to be almost self blending on this very smooth paper,  and thus very easy.  The result is so pretty and takes no time to do!

For this card I used the Deco Border Die and a strip of white pearls to embellish the bottom.  I absolutely love how this came out and I'm thrilled to have these coloring pages!!!

So to recap... here are the new ODBD products I used today:

  11. What beautiful cards, Grace! I love daffodils, and I agree with Chris that your background is lovely using this stamp. And I love the new dies for the "framing." Beautiful card using one of the coloring pages, and I so love this Scripture verse. I love how you've colored it and added some shimmer. I'm sure is even more beautiful IRL! Hugs and love, precious friend!
