Welcome to the December ODBD Release!

Hello friends!  Welcome to the December Our Daily Bread Designs release!  It's hard to believe it's December already!  Christmas is just around the corner and the new year right behind it!

I first want to thank all who have so kindly sent me notes, emails, cards, gifts and prayers!  I have been blown away by the love and encouragement shown  me during this illness, and your acts of kindness have touched my heart.  I am undergoing chemo now and it's not been easy as I have an intolerance for one of the drugs they are giving me and we are still trying to figure all that out so I can be a bit more comfortable between treatments.  God is hearing and answering your prayers, and  I know He is carrying me through this.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to participate in this month's release, but I managed to get a couple cards made so I'm happy to be able to share them with you.  I kept both simple this time as I was mostly working upstairs with limited supplies.  Before I give the details though, here  is the prize information for this month's give away:

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until December 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on December 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
For my card above I used Plough the Fields for my image and sentiment.  I only had Prisma Pencils upstairs with me so I colored my image with them and it was fun to revisit that coloring medium after using Copics so much lately!  I cut the image panel with a Matting Circle Die, and matted with the new Double Stitched Circles Dies.  I also used the new Double Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut my sentiment panel, which I folded over the top of the card.  I used the Leafy Edged Border Dies to cut some "fields" for my card background.  The base is Baked Brown Sugar and the greens are all scraps of Bazzil from my stash.
For my next card, I used  Safe Travels for my image and sentiment.  I used Archival ink and again, colored with Prisma Pencils.  I used Pastel Chalks for the sky.  I cut the image and the other two panels with the new Double Stitched Rectangle Dies, and I used the Double Stitched Circle Dies to cut my sentiment panel.  I used a base of Baja Breeze and some desgin paper from the ODBD Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection.  I embellished with die cuts from the Lovely Leaves Dies, Fancy Foliage Dies, and some bronze square embellishments from my stash.

.

Here are the NEW ODBD products I used today:

Beautiful cards, Grace. And peace, blessings, and prayers for you. I have been discovering the return to colored pencil occasionally and find I still enjoy that type of coloring.

Both cards are beautiful but the farmer one touched my soul as my dear father was a farmer (and I the farmer's daughter). Still missing him after 20 years. Prayers for your healing and tolerance for the chemo.

You're an amazing woman Grace! I don't think I would be making cards while going through chemo, I feel honored to know you and pray for you. Both cards are absolutely beautiful, you've done an amazing job with them. Continued prayers for you sweet friend.

Oh, dearest Grace, I am so glad to see your new cards...and surprised given your new chemo treatment. But what beautiful cards you've made using the pencils. Your coloring is lovely with these country images, and I love your designs. Each are beautiful. I continue to pray for you and trust that God will continue to give you strength, hope, and comfort. Much love!

Oh my, Grace, you never disappoint! I love the colors and layout of the covered bridge. I really like the tractor card as well having grown up on a farm. Only one difference for me, we always had red tractors. Can't wait to color a red one! Take care, dear lady and continue to trust God will carry you through this tough time.

Both cards are simply lovely! I'm thrilled to know that you were able to create such beauty for us to enjoy in spite of the challenging diagnosis and drugs being used to cure this cancer. My prayer for you is that God will guide your doctors to the right drugs and the right mixture of drugs so that you will be much more able to tolerate your treatment. I especially pray for a complete healing. The tractor card tugs at my heart as my father-in-law was a Texas cotton farmer.

Prayers for your healing. One of the hardest things we found was to keep life bigger than the illness. It can overshadow everything. My daughter's best days were when we managed to do the norma things, celebrating life. Keep creating!

Grace, I have been still "stalking" you on your blog, and have been praying for you just about every day. I know that God will see you through this; you have such a beautiful heart and soul, I know it must be hard, but with your support group out here, and your loving family and of course God, you will be ok. As for your cards, they are stunning as always, and I'm so glad you were feeling well enough to make them for us. Such a delight! This release is so beautiful; I am sure to place my order soon. God Bless You... Take care and prayers are still coming your way. Be well.
