MMSC15 Fall is almost here!

Hello everyone!
Today I made a card for two challenges: MMSC14 and also Copic Color Challenge #27. I always love Priscilla's sketches, and today was no exception! This image is by Stampendous. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic Markers. I then sponged T Holtz distress inks in Tea Dye and Scattered Straw over the Neenah White CS I had stamped the image on. I used the edge of my sponge to try to create lines here and there to look like a "sanded" background. The card base is Papertrey Dark Chocolate, then the matting is Bazzill Basics and the designer paper is BoBunny. I used SU! Hemp twine and little bronze eyelets for that element of the sketch. I added Stickles but unfortunately you can't see the sparkle in this photo.

The colors of Copics I used are: N2, YG95, YG93, YG91, YG03, Y11, Y15, Y17, YR65, YR68, E25, E27, E29, E55.

Ask, Seek, Knock in a garden sketch

Hello everyone! Today's Sketch over on SCS was just fantastic. I loved playing with it! I decided to use my Our Daily Bread Designs Ask Seek Knock set again, because I love the set and I thought it would work great with today's sketch.

I stamped the image on Aquarello Watercolor Paper twice with Sahara Sand and lightly colorwashed it. I cut out just the door frame so that I could pop it up on dimensionals. I also stamped a Stampendous Wall image in a continuous row to fill the second panel for the sketch. I then made two 3" medallions for the third panels of the sketch. To make them I cut a 3" square of white CS, then I used my Martha Stewart Edge Punch, centering on each side. When that was done I cut out the outside piece you normally have in a medallion, leaving just the lattice part. I lightly sponged them in Sahara Sand. I assembled this whole unit, popping it up off the card, matting the door frame onto a Cuttlebugged Always Artichoke panel which I hand cut to match the irregular shape of the door I had cut. Then I popped up the second frame on the first for more depth. I hope the side shot shows it.

My base for my card is Always Artichoke, then two different Anna Griffin Designer Papers. I used an Ornare Template to pierce the upper right corner. I added Primas and Hero Arts Gem Stones to the lower left. I used bits of Flower Soft as mossy greenery growing in the walls. To get this color I had to do some tweeking... I only had the baby soft pastel green and the Shamrock green, neither of which were right. I looked through my inks and found some True Thyme, so I mixed the two shades of FS I had in a container and added 1 drop of TT ink. Mixed well and I love the result... there are now various shades of green that go quite well with the CS.

Oh for Two More Hands!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a great Friday and are looking forward to the great weather we are having here in NC! The eighty's for the next few days sounds great to me!!!

This card was made for a weekly challenge that a few friends do each week over on SCS. We were to make a coffee themed card, use pink and brown, punches, brads and doodling.

When Dawn and I met for coffee and a trip to our LSS a couple of weeks ago, I had this stamp in my hand and put it down because I just couldn't spend any more money... and that unknown to Dawn... she bought it! In my Easter card were several of these stamped images for me! I was so excited... I just had to use it for today's challenge! Thanks so much Dawn!

I used my new nesties for this... love them!!! I colored the image with a combination of Copics and Prisma Pencils because I still don't seem to have the perfect colors of Copics..... it's a collection in progress! After coloring the image I used Diamond Glaze on the mugs to give them a shine. I sponged Close to Cocoa around just about everything. I also used my Stardust Clear Glitter Gel Pen to doodle the coffee wafts, bunny eyes and buttons. I think if you click on the photo to enlarge it you might see the glaze that you can't see in the regular size.

My sentiment is computer generated. These were the first words that came to my mind when I saw this image! I mean two cups is a given for me.... the real question is how many more will it take to get me cranking! LOL! I just know if I had two more hands they'd both be filled with more coffee!!! I used my punches to punch and layer the sentiment. My doodling is the stitching on the pajama top and the polka dots on the bottoms. This was done with a Chocolate Chip Marker.

Just a final note.... I took my photo before I added some "ground" under her feet, and a little halo around her but I just don't have time this morning to take and edit more pics. Maybe later I'll be able to change it out but for now... this will have to do. I think I met all the requirements of the challenge and I hope it brought a smile to your face this morning!

A Black and White Silhouette with sparkle

Hello everyone!
Wow... yesterday flew by and I didn't get to start on cards until bedtime.... LOL! So I finished this about 2am. A group of friends over on SCS do a weekly challenge, and this week Dawn chose the theme... we were to make a black and white silhouette card. Well at 2am, not much looks good to me! I had made another one with Stampin Up! Essence of Love, but didn't like it when I got all done, so I grabbed my Stampendous set that I always love, and stamped it with Archival Jet Black. I layered it onto basic black and used my new ticket corner punch for the corner. I decided to go with a clean and simple layout to let the black and white pop. I did add some decor to the inside and the envelope with an Inkadinkado stamp. I added Black Diamond and Frosted Lace Stickles to the main image, although with the showers we're having today, my light is poor and I can't capture the sparkle. It IS there... just can't prove it! LOL! I also popped up the main panel. This was fun and actually challenging for me... I don't do CAS easily, but I always love the look when others do it... and this time I really like the way this came out!

Here's a non-conventional Valentine's Day card I made. I stamped these tickets... "good for one kiss anytime", and made a little pocket out of my heart image. The designer paper is from EK Success, and the Stampendous heart is stamped in Creamy Caramel, then clear embossed. The punched edge is done with a Martha Stewart punch. I thought this would make a cute card for a guy...... not so gushy sweet, not pink, and what guy wouldn't love kisses anytime? The sentiment at the bottom is a Studio G Stamp.
