Snowman Greetings!

Hello friends!   I hope you are all doing well, and that you are beginning to get in to the Christmas spirit!  This week cold weather finally arrived here and they are even talking about the possibility of a little of the white stuff tomorrow!  That certainly would help, as it's been quite warm thus far. (Not that I'm complaining mind you!)

Anyway... I do need to get a few more cards made to mail out soon, so here is a fun one that would work for any winter occasion as I left it without a sentiment.  I have several friends with winter birthdays so if I don't use this for a Christmas card I can add a warm birthday greeting and that would work too!

I used the newly released ODBD White as Snow stamp/die duo, which may I just say I LOVE!  The die cuts perfectly and the image is so fun to color without taking all day and an act of congress to get it done!!! :)  I used paper from the Christmas Paper Collection 2014, and the following dies:  Fence, Snow CrystalsDouble Stitched Ovals, and the outer frame is from Snowflake Sky Background Dies.  After coloring the image I colored it with clear Wink of Stella pen and love the little shimmer that gives.

So that's about it for me today!  I have tons of things on my To Do list today, as I'm sure you do too!  But in it all lets not forget that we celebrate the greatest gift ever given to mankind!!!  That precious baby born is a stable knocks on the door of our hearts and asks if we have any room for Him today.  I trust you have invited Him in, not as an occasional guest, but as the head of this dwelling, and the dearest friend you'll ever have... as without Him, there is no peace in our hearts.  We will be constantly searching and unfulfilled until we give Him His rightful place.

So if I don't see you again before Christmas.... I want to wish each of you the most blessed Christmas season... and a new year filled with Joy!

As with all our releases, there are prizes!
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website  just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until December 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on December 3rd so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

For the gift bag above, I used the new Card Caddy & Gift Bag dies, as well as Gift Bag Handles & Topper dies.  For the sentiment, I used the cut out piece from one of the handles, and a Double Stitched Rectangles die.  I  used the new stamp/die duo set, the White As Snow Stamp/Die Duo and the matching snowman die.  LOVE this set!  I also used the following past released items:  Leafy Edged Borders Die, Snow Crystals diesFence, Bitty Borders, and Lovely Leaves dies.  I created the bag itself with craft paper and I love the craft/white/red combo.  The image is colored with Copics and then with Wink of Stella for some sparkle.  The paper is from the Christmas Paper Collection 2013.

For the card below I used the new Noel Ornaments stamp, colored with Copics, then cut with the new Oval Stitched Rows dies.  I used the Pierced Rectangles dies to cut the green layer, and the Merry Christmas Dies to cut the words from red and gold mirrored card stock.  The  Leafy Edged Borders were used to cut the red border, and the flowers and leaves were cut with the Peaceful Poinsettia, Pine Branches, and Lovely Leaves dies. The paper is from the Holly Jolly Paper Collection and Christmas Paper Collection 2013The image was colored with Copics, then Wink of Stella Clear glitter pen.  In person there is a glimmer but it was hard to capture in the photo.

Welcome to the NOV. ODBD release!

Hello friends!  Welcome to the Nov. ODBD release!   You have seen some samples already this month, and hopefully you jumped in on the special bundle pre-order, but today we're sharing more samples for your inspiration.  As always, we have prizes!
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website  just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until November 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on November 3rd so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
For today's samples, I used  the new Winter Cardinal set. I made a more clean and simple one, and one more stepped up.  I'd love to hear which style you like better!  Above, I embossed the image in gold and below, I stamped it in brown ink and colored  the bird and berries and some leaves with Copics.  For the card above, I created a window with the ODBD Ovals dies so my image sits beneath the frame,  and layered brushed gold and red paper from the Christmas Collection 2017 Paper Pack. I cut the gold and red layers with the ODBD Pierced Rectangles an Double Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered to my white card base.  For the card below again I cut my layers of red and craft with the Pierced Rectangles and the Double Stitched Rectangles dies.   However instead of the window cut out, I just cut my image with an Ovals die and positioned it on my card.  For both cards, I used the Merry Christmas Border Die for my sentiment.  For the more stepped up card above, I also used dies from Lovely Leaves, Pine Branches, Pine Cones, Circle Ornaments and Christmas Candle.  I also added pearls for the berries and the cardinal's eye above.  So... which do you prefer?

For my sample above, I used the new Winter Cardinal stamp set, Christmas Paper Collection 2017, and past releases: Pine Boughs, Lovely Leaves, Pincones, Small Bow, and Double Stitched Rectangles.  I stamped the image with Memento, colored with Copics and highlighted with the Copic white.  I die cut my greenery and pine cones and added stickles to each element as well as adding some to the image itself.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut it and the image with the Double Stitched Rounded Rectangle dies, and mounted it all on a piece of plaid paper from the new Paper pad.

Two more cards with the Oct. Release!

Hello friends!  I'm back with two more cards I made with the ODBD October release.  For this first card I used the new Be A Sunshine stamp set, and the Sunflower Die.  I also used Double Stitched Rectangles to cut almost all my panels.  Used the new Fall Favorites Paper Pack, as well as the Christmas Coordinating  2015 Paper Pack.  I added some loose burlap for a country feel, and tied the image panel with some gold twine.  The image is colored with Copics.  All the edges are distressed again for that country feel.

The second card below used the new Merry Christmas Caps Word Die, Pine Branches, Rounded Rectangles and Double Stitched Rounded Rectangles, as well as Merry Mosaics and the 2015 Coordinating Chrstmas Paper Pack.  I added a double cut of the Merry Christmas offsetting slightly for a shadow effect.  I sponged the edges of all my layers just a bit for contrast, and I added small pearls to the centers of the poinsettias which are also die cut twice for contrast.  It feels so good to have a couple Christmas cards done (for the release and today)!   Thanks so much for stopping by!

Welcome to the ODBD October Release!

Hello friends!  Welcome to the ODBD October release!  I cannot believe it is fall already, with Christmas just around the corner!!!   I am so happy that at ODBD we did not just hop right over fall and into Christmas.  We have a gorgeous sunflower set that I adore!  I love fall decorating, and the cool crisp feel of fall evenings.  I love the colors of fall, and this release really captures that feel.  However, we do have some new toys to get your Christmas card production under way as well!

As always, we do have prizes!  Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website  just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until October 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on October 3rd so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

Now for the details on my cards.  The card above is a very simple card to make and lies pretty flat for mailing.  For this card I used the new Merry Christmas Caps Die, the new Rounded Rectangles and Double Stitched Rounded Rectangles dies, the new Pine Branches Dies, the new Christmas Coordinating  2015 paper, as well as the past release Christmas 2015 paper, Lavish Layers Dies, Peaceful Poinsettia Dies, and Pinecones Dies.  I used some brushed gold paper for my letters, pine boughs and the backing of the pine cones.  The printed paper is from the 2015 Christmas Pack, and the green mat behind the ivory layer is from the Coordinating 2015 pack.  I added one gold pearl.

For the card below, I used one of ODBD's Book Fold card kits for my card base.  I cut layers of patterned paper from the gorgeous new Follow the Son Paper pack  and the new Fall Favorites Paper Pack for the inside as well as the front.  I stamped two of the beautiful Sunflower images from the Be a Sunflower Set, then colored with Copics and die cut with the matching Sunflower Die.  The sentiment is stamped from the same set, and cut with the new Rounded Rectangles dies

For the front, I used one of my colored and die cut sunflowers mounted on some black corrugated card stock, which I layered on one of my favorite papers from the Follow the Son Paper Pack.  Some twine and a little button finished it off.  I hope you like it!

So to recap, here are the NEW RELEASE products I featured today:

Welcome to the ODBD Sept. Release!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the ODBD September release!!!  Can you believe it is September already?  Honestly I cannot!  Somehow I don't feel like I was done with summer!  LOL!  Well, whether I'm ready or not, it's here, and Our Daily Bread designs has come up with another amazing release!  If you have not seen the whole release, you can do so HERE.

As always, there are prizes up for grabs!
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website  just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until September 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on September 3rd so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

Among the many things released today, my favorites are two awesome dies for special fold cards, along with dies for the layers!!!!  That is going to save bunches of time if you are a special folds person!!!  For the card above, I used the Tri-Shutter Card die as well as the Tri-Shutter Layers Dies.  I used the new Remembrance Stamp Set, and the new Stars and Stripes Paper Pack.  I also used past released dies:  Ovals Stitched Ovals, Balloons and Streamers, Sparkling Stars, Celebrate and Wish Word Dies, the bow from Circle Ornaments, and to cut the various elements added to the card, I cut many of them with the same Tri-Shutter Layers.  I decorated with various stars and balloons, some cut with the Stars and Stripes paper, and some cut from Silver Glitter paper.

I again used  Tri-shutter Card and the Tri-Shutter Layers on the card below.  I also used the new paper pack, Stars and Stripes.  For my stamps, I used the new set called Remembrance, and for the USA image on the center panel, I used the USA single stamp.  I used a few other dies from past releases:  The Deco Border, Ornate Heart Stitched Ovals, Pierced Rectangles, and Sparkling Stars.   I simply chose papers from the new paper pack for my layers and cut using the layers dies; used the card die to cut the base from 12" white Bazzill paper, and cut mats and adornments from the paper pack and from silver glitter paper.  I used a "faux" shaker technique, cutting the background with the Ornate Heart Die, then I added lots of little stars from the Sparkling Stars dies, and I cut another layer with the Ornate Heart Die, this time cutting from vellum.  I topped it off with a third cutting of the lacy outer border of the die and adhered that over my vellum layer.   I stamped the sentiment with Red pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I did the same on white card stock for my other sentiment, which was cut and then matted with a Double Stitched Oval.  I used Memento inks to dual tone stamp the USA image, and cut that with a Pierced Rectangle.  My card is decorated with little stars and parts of the Deco Border die cuts.  It folds flat and is very mail-able.

To recap, here are the new released products I used today:

So that's it for me today.   I hope you liked my samples and I hope you will love the fancy fold dies with their layers as much as I do!!!

Please stop by my DT sisters and be sure to leave a little comment so you are qualified to win one of the prizes being given away today!  Here are their LINKS:
