Welcome to the ODBD 9th Anniversary Special Release!

Hello everyone!  Today marks a special celebration of Our Daily Bread design's 9th Anniversary!!!  My but time flies when you are having fun!!  ODBD has released a new Celebration stamp set as well as a die set, Large Numbers Dies.  As in our regular releases, there will be 3 prizes of $25.00 credit toward stamps in the ODBD Store!  To be qualified to win one of these prizes all you have to do is leave a comment on each designer's blog, because the winners will be drawn from the comments on three designers blogs.  If you did not see the release already, you can do so HERE

So for my card above, I used the new new Celebration Set to stamp my words with Taken with Teal ink on white card stock.  I die cut the panel using the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles dies, and matted that with some teal card stock cut with the ODBD Custom Circle Scalloped dies.  To the main panel, I added the teal numbers die cut with the Large Numbers Dies, and I added a heart balloon from the ODBD Custom Balloons and Streamers die set.  I added some baker's twine to finish it off.  This is going to my sweet soon to be 16 year old granddaughter in a few weeks.

For the card  below, I again used the Celebration Set to stamp all my words.  (The word "the" is just one word in the Scripture verse included in the set.  To stamp it, I placed it where I wanted it and inked up just the word "the".  To make sure no other letters got inked I used tape over nearby letters when I inked and then removed the tape before stamping).  I die cut the numbers from the Large Numbers die set, arranged them on my main panel, matted with gold, and adhered to a blue panel decorated with a gold ribbon and tassel.     That is all mounted on a white base.

Here are the new products I used today:

Spring is in the air!

Hello friends!  I hope you are in the mood for spring because we are celebrating spring this month at Our Daily Bread designs!  For the card above, I used the new March release of God's Blessings Coloring Pages.  I just love working with these pages!  They are fun to color, and they have wonderful Scriptures on them.  With very limited "extras" you can make a special meaningful card!  I colored the page with Copics, trimmed it down, and matted it with the new ODBD Custom Circle Scalloped Rectangle Dies cut from some purple card stock.  I mounted that on a yellow piece of card stock and then that on to a white top fold A2 card.

For the card below,  I used the new Daffodils stamp set and the matching ODBD Custom Daffodil Die to create a bouquet of daffies, which I "potted up" using one of the dies from the Glorious Gable Box Die Set.   I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and die cut it with an ODBD Custom Rectangle die, matted that with a green die cut using the ODBD Double Stitched Rectangle, and adhered that to my flower pot.   I created a grassy "floor" for my bouquet using the ODBD Custom Grass Lawn die and the Grass Hill die.  This is all adhered to a 5 X 7 card and finished with a little yellow sheer bow.

Thanks so much for looking!   Have a wonderful day!!!

Welcome to the ODBD March Release!

Hello friends!  Welcome to the ODBD March release!  If you have not had a chance to see the entire release you can do so HERE.  Spring is definitely in the air with this release so prepare to enjoy some flowers and spring inspiration!  As always, there are prizes just for visiting each designer's blog and leaving a comment.  Three blessed viewers will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to go toward stamps in the ODBD Store!  You have until March 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on March 6th, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

First card (above) was made using the new Daffodils stamp set and matching custom Daffodil die.
I also used the newly released Circle Scalloped Rectangle dies.   I stamped multiple daffodil images with Daffodil Delight ink to create a background to place behind my Circle Scalloped Rectangle dies.  I did cut and layered the dies, then stamped the daffodil image and die cut with the daffodil die.  I adhered this to my layered dies with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment from the same set and hand cut the panel to fit my layering panel.  I added a seam binding bow and one pearl in the center of the daffodil for a little pop of elegance.  This is a very simple and inexpensive card to create, which we all love, right?

While we are talking about simple, check out the new God's Blessings Coloring Pages, just the perfect size for an A2 card! For the card below I colored my page mostly with Copics, but I did to the lettering with Prisma Pencils.  I added some Wink of Stella to my blossoms for a little bit of shimmer, which really pops off the page in person. I do love coloring these!  I had to get used to the light touch because the ink does spread easily and could possibly wander, so you want to stop short of the line and just let it blend, but I found it to be almost self blending on this very smooth paper,  and thus very easy.  The result is so pretty and takes no time to do!

For this card I used the Deco Border Die and a strip of white pearls to embellish the bottom.  I absolutely love how this came out and I'm thrilled to have these coloring pages!!!

So to recap... here are the new ODBD products I used today:
