Welcome to the NOV. ODBD release!

Hello friends!  Welcome to the Nov. ODBD release!   You have seen some samples already this month, and hopefully you jumped in on the special bundle pre-order, but today we're sharing more samples for your inspiration.  As always, we have prizes!
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website  just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until November 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on November 3rd so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
For today's samples, I used  the new Winter Cardinal set. I made a more clean and simple one, and one more stepped up.  I'd love to hear which style you like better!  Above, I embossed the image in gold and below, I stamped it in brown ink and colored  the bird and berries and some leaves with Copics.  For the card above, I created a window with the ODBD Ovals dies so my image sits beneath the frame,  and layered brushed gold and red paper from the Christmas Collection 2017 Paper Pack. I cut the gold and red layers with the ODBD Pierced Rectangles an Double Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered to my white card base.  For the card below again I cut my layers of red and craft with the Pierced Rectangles and the Double Stitched Rectangles dies.   However instead of the window cut out, I just cut my image with an Ovals die and positioned it on my card.  For both cards, I used the Merry Christmas Border Die for my sentiment.  For the more stepped up card above, I also used dies from Lovely Leaves, Pine Branches, Pine Cones, Circle Ornaments and Christmas Candle.  I also added pearls for the berries and the cardinal's eye above.  So... which do you prefer?

.

I love cardinals. It was neat to see this done in two distinctly different colors. Love the gold.

These are gorgeous. The gold cardinal looks a little bit wild and I love the red one. Cool variation. Hugz

I love the pinecones on your first card! Your cardinal is so pretty on the second card. Well done!

I love that you chose the pretty cardinal as the focus of each of your cards. It is the state bird for Kentucky which is where I'm from originally, so it always makes me smile to see one. Your cards are equally beautiful, and I like the Merry Christmas die that you used on each.
