ODBD Nov. Release Blog Hop!

Joyous-noel-luminaria-set

Hello everyone! If you arrived here from Julie's Blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog where all the details are given, and the entire list of designers are given with links. If for any reason any links are broken or you get lost along the way, simply return there to find the link to the next stop.

I am so excited about these new sets and I think you will be too! I hope you've had the chance to see the full release on the Our Daily Bread designs Web site! Three fantastic Christmas Tag sets, a custom die cut to perfectly cut them out, and two stunning Christmas Background Stamps too!!! Oh am I in stamper's heaven! LOL!

To add to the excitement, there will be FOUR FANTASTIC PRIZES this month: Three Prizes of your choice of one free tag set and matching die cut, and ONE GRAND PRIZE of the NOVEMBER BREAD BASKET BUNDLE!!! So be sure to complete the hop, and return to the ODBD Blog Hop Post to leave a comment, telling us you:

1. Completed the hop
2. Left comments for each designer (name any you are unable to comment on)
3. Answer the question posted on the ODBD Blog.

The Hop will run from 8am Eastern Nov 1 until 8pm Eastern Nov. 2. The winners will be randomly selected from the commenters that complete the hop and answer the question on the ODBD Blog. Winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Nov. 3.

Now I'll bet YOU'RE excited too!!!

Joyous-Noel

Now on to my card details:

I created this card using the new ODBD Poinsettia Background stamp and Die as well as the sentiment from the Holly Tag Set. The card stock is Gina K Pure Luxury White and the embossing is Ranger Fine Detail Gold. The gold mat is Paper Studio. The ribbon was from Micheal's.

The Luminary Ornament was made using the Tag Die Cut , along with the Poinsettia Background stamp. In an effort to keep the blog hop post short, I'll not show a tutorial on how to create this ornament now, but may try to write one when I can. The basics are to cut 4 tags and score the two sides and bottom at 1/4". Stamp all the tags with the Poinsettia Backgrounder, and emboss. Cut a base anywhere from 1 3/4" up depending on what you like. Cut out a window in all 4 tags using the smallest Spellbinder's Mega Ovals, and adhere vellum or acetate. I used vellum I had embossed with a Sizzix EF, Sugar.

Using tacky tape, adhere the 4 sides together, then using TomBow Metal Glue adhere tags to base. This makes the perfect size ornament to hold a battery operated tea light, or you could fill it with goodies.

Poinsettia-Luminaria

I hope you enjoyed my project!

This is exquisite! Each piece looks so delicate. It doesn't even look like paper...it looks so much thinner...a shell perhaps on the luminare. You sure are making those more beautiful and more beautiful.

That card is wonderful. I love how you cut out the little poinsettia and used it as the center of the bow. The bow, and that gold on white is so elegant. This card is incredible.
