Though You are Little...

Inchie-Tag

Welcome to another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge! Today our challenge hostess is Peggysue. She has chosen a wonderful verse for this Christmas season! Micah 5:2

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting."

Peggysue's challenge is to make a project using inchies.

What a great verse for this time of the year!!! Have you ever thought about how with God... so often the little, the humble, the poor are the ones He exalts? Bethlehem was just a little town but God honored it as the place in which His very own Son would be born. Years later, when Jesus had begun His ministry His disciples asked Him who will be the greatest in heaven. Jesus' answer was whoever humbles himself as a little child will be the greatest in heaven. (Matt 18:4) As humans, our tendency is to be impressed by wealth, power, position... but God is interested in inner qualities... qualities like humility, mercy, peacemaking, gentleness, purity. These are the things that impress God! Sometimes you and I may feel like little fish in a big sea... what can we do to make a difference in this world? Well... I have a feeling that God is honored by the little things we do that no one else even knows about! He tells us we already have our reward if we receive praise here on earth... but our reward is in heaven for those things we quietly do or say that have eternal value that no one might even know about but Him! So lets never forget that even the little things that we can do daily are very important to God! He can use us in the simplest of ways! When you think about it that way... it's pretty cool to be a little inchie, don't you think?

For my project I needed a tag for a package I had wrapped in this pretty snowflake paper. So in keeping with the "little" idea, I used my inchies on a little tag. I used the smallest snowflake from the Our Daily Bread designs set "Peace and Joy" and I cut it with the custom made die. I stamped my snowflakes with Baja Breeze on Gina K Pure Luxury Ivory. I died my seam binding to match.

Our sponsor this week is Our Daily Bread designs.
The prize is a $15.00 Gift Certificate!

Very pretty and a good way to use those little things. I don't think I own any inchie stamps so will have to think about this one.

This is beautiful Grace!! I just love the paper and your died seam binding with the snowflakes!! Gorgoeus GF!! I just love reading your words on the verse today (and every Sunday). We all need to focus on the true meaning of Christmas. We saw a movie together on the how God chose a humble birth and how he did not push His son on us but gave us a choice. Rarely do you see such movies with such a Christian testimony on TV.

hugs,
Chris

Thank you for the devotional. I always check in for those. Your choice of music is wonderful as well. The first song I heard today is one that I will have to get! Very moving and one I will enjoy hearing and singing at the top of my lungs in the confines of my car! I think it is Glory in the Highest.

Hi there

I am thrilled you have joined in my "Free and Easy" theme at Allsorts this fortnight and confess to being astounded by the huge response this weekend.

I usually like to visit every entry and say a few words about their creations, but the sheer volume so far along with the Christmas preparations we all have to juggle means this is a "copied and pasted" message, for which I apologise.

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and wonderful holiday time.

You card is absolutely lovely. What I want to compliment you on is the beauty in your posting, your discussion is moving and is making me feel more like I'm celebrating Christmas in my heart than getting pulled into the commercialism and stress. You have a wonderful way with words and express your thoughts perfectly. Thank you for this.
