Hello everyone! Happy Sunday!
With Sunday comes another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge! Our hostess this week is the sweet Miesje! She has chosen the following Scripture for this week's challenge:
Luke 18:17
"Amen I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it."
Miesje's challenge is to make a card for a child.
"Amen I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it."
Miesje's challenge is to make a card for a child.
Why would Jesus say this? I believe it's because children accept with complete faith. They don't question every little detail, doubting that which they cannot understand. If a parent or trusted person tells them something is true... they simply believe and accept it with all their heart. God wants us to accept Him this same way. It's strange but sometimes as people grow up.... they let the things of this world, and confidence in their own abilities and understanding become the things they trust, and it's harder for them to accept the truth of God's love for them and the so simple way they can come to Him. They want to complicate it... turn it into something it's not. It's so simple... even a child can understand it! God loves you. He provided the way for your sins to be forgiven and for you to enter His Heavenly kingdom. Simply believe and receive Him like a child.
My card today is made with a Sugar Nellie digi! Her name is Joy. Isn't she sweet? I colored her with Copics and used this week's sketch from Bearly Mine. The dp is Prima Annalee (thanks to a so sweet friend) and Prima Fairy Flora. The image is printed on Gina K Pure Luxury White. The lacy punched work is Martha Stewart, and I wove some sheer pink ribbon through it. I used the Floral Doily Accents (Spellbinders) for the flowers and the hand made crocheted flower is also a gift from my dear friend... one I treasure!

So sweet!
Grace, what a gorgeous card. I love the papers that you used. Isn't wonderful that God didn't make us have to defend our faith with lengthy disertations to be saved, but He made it simple enough to understand. Thanks for your insight on the scripture. Hugs and blessings!!
Wow what beautiful card! gorgoeus colours and I love that image. Thanks for playing along with us at Digi's With Attitude! and good luck

Grace, this is beautiful! The card ... and your words of encouragement. It is a sad fact, but a fact none-the-less, that we all sometimes need to be reminded to keep our faith as simple as a child's.
This is so sweet Grace - any young girl would love it!!
I enjoyed your thoughts too :-), thank you for sharing.
Blessings
Maxine
Grace your card is adorable. What a cute little girl. Great job and thanks for sharing with us. you are so right...God is so good - all the time!
What a beautiful little girl image! And she is wonderfully colored! The entire card with the piercing, the croched and punched flowers, the border punch, the layout, the papers, the ribbon.... fabulous!
Its beautiful Grace! She is colored wonderfully and your words as usual are so true! The flowers are lovely, as is the layout and the ribbon.
Good evening Grace =) Your card is fabulous!! Really love those papers and colors and the white flowers just POP off the card. Such a sweet li'l girl too. Beautiful work of heart! And I agree with your interpretation... kids just accept things we tell them so easily and as we get older, we have see too much of the world and doubts creep in making us suspicious of everything we're told. Oh to be a kid again! LOL. Have a wonderful week!
what a beautiful card, I love that crocheted flower.
thanks for playing with us at Paper Pretties.
Hello, Grace! You visited my blog with a question and I'm so happy you did! I have so enjoyed my visit here! Your creations are all so lovely! And your posts so uplifting and encouraging! I appreciated your sweet comment on my Shabby Tea Room card. Papertrey Ink has a new line of Edger dies and this one I used was the first I think--they only have two or three so far, so I don't think you'll have trouble recognizing it if you shop there (but let me know if you do!). It really dresses up the card doesn't it?! Thanks again for your visit!!
WOW!!!!!!!
This is beautiful Grace.. I love the soft pinks you chose. I have a hard time with softer colors. I loved your write up too. It scares me sometimes how children are so trusting. I read your comment on Friday and have no idea where it went.. :( sorry. I am exhausted from all my visitors but as soon as I catch up we need to do DD...Hugs.
Hi, Grace! Your card is gorgeous, as always. I love that background paper! Can you tell me what it is, please? The colors are so vibrant and pretty and that large daisy looks great behind the image. You did a wonderful job and I am such a big fan. Thanks for playing in the flower challenge at Amber's Crafts and Stuff this week.

Hi Grace
Just a quick note to say "thank you" for your lovely post. No I don't teach IRL (used to teach children's club before I got married and loved that). Nowadays, I simply seek to encourage others with the same encouragement which I have received in the Lord online. I get so excited when God teaches me something new and can't wait to pass it on :D
Used to have another blog called "In Step with the Lord" as well as a couple of crafting blogs but was finding it difficult maintaining them and keeping them up-to-date as I work 4 full days per week also and I was really starting to feel driven rather than led! I didn't want to give up crafting (although I was willing to if I had to) and so I prayed about it. Very quickly I felt led to combine both a paper crafing site and one in which I shared the Lord's goodness into one blog and hence "Each Cared Tells a Story" was born! I do also believe SSIC had a part to play in the process also as it was here I realised that we can use our talents as well as our giftings in the Lord to share with others.
adorable card and the colours make you feel happy, gorgeous flower too
thanks for joining the TSB challenge this week

Grace this is stunning! At first I thought this may have been a photo that you printed on paper and painted. It is amazing. I love the colors and the coloring. And the layout and your use of embellishments as incredible!
I remember us having an email discussion about this very Scripture. Do you? You always are so clear about what to write. What the God-given Truth is...and you explain it so clearly. Thank you, my dear, dear friend.
BTW,Those papers are exquisite!
