Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs May Release!

Welcome to the ODBD May Release!  I hope you've had a chance to view the entire release, but if not, be sure to stop by the ODBD Blog to see it all!
Before I get in to the details of my cards, here are the details on how  you might win a prize!

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 Gift Code to the ODBD Website  just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until May 2, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on May 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
For the card above, I wanted a vintage feminine feel so I pulled out my  ODBD paper, Shabby Rose Paper Collection.  I used the new and wonderful "Good Day" stamp set for my image and sentiment.  I stamped the image with Memento cocoa ink and colored with Copics.  I fussy cut the image and mounted it on an oval panel created by die cutting an ODBD Pierced Ovals die from the same paper collection, embossing it with a sizzix embossing folder, and matting it with an ODBD Ovals die cut from brushed gold card stock.  I mounted that on a rectangular panel created by die cutting a brushed gold frame with the ODBD Filagree Frame die from the March Anniversary release, and layering on a pink paper from the same paper collection, cut with an ODBD Lavish Layers die set, also from the Anniversary release.  I distressed all my layers with Distress Ink in Antique Linen, and for the sentiment, I stamped it with VersMark and heat embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing powder.  I cut it with the new Pierced Ovals die, and matted with a brushed gold ODBD Ovals die cut.  The base is Blushing Bride card and the lace is from my stash.  I have added lots of dimension with foam tape.

Here are the new releases I used for the card above:

For the card below, I thought I'd try for a card  that could go masculine or feminine.  I already had the brushed gold paper out so I decided to add that to a layer of  ODBD Christian Faith Paper Collection and some Midnight Muse card stock.  I die cut the gold background using the new die called Majestic Medallion Dies.  I stamped the image from  Medallion Sentiments with Midnight Muse ink on Neenah Solar Crest 140 lb card stock and cut with the new Flourishy Frame die.  I decorated the white panel with the center portion of a second die cut of the Majestic Medallion die from brushed gold.  I matted the white with another die cut from from Midnight Muse, using the Flourishy Frame dies setI kept it simple and only embellished with some navy blue half pearls.

Here are the new release products I used on this card:

Again I want to thank all who have been praying for me!  I had my surgery on April 6th and am recovering very well!  The pathology report was basically good, though not quite perfect.  We had hoped that by doing the neoadjuvant chemo, that when I had the surgery there would be no live cancer remaining, but  there was still a live cancerous tumor left.  However the Dr. feels he got it all.  The really great news is that the lymph nodes were clear!  So we are praising the Lord for answered prayer!   I am gaining strength every day.  So thank you so much for praying,  for the notes you've sent, the cards and facebook messages of encouragement!  They have meant so much!!!

Now, here is the list of designer's participating in today's hop:

Lori Robin * Melissa * Julie * Sandee * Cathy
Dawn * Grace * Lisa * Sabrina
Diana * Angie * Chris * Jan (Guest Designer)

Oh, Grace!! What beautiful cards, and I have to say that the first one is amazing with your fussy cutting of this gorgeous hat on the stand! Wow! It's so gorgeous shabby (if that's a style - hehe!). I love the paper and the embossing with the distressing, and it's simply stunning! Beautifully done, Grace, and I'm so glad you felt strong enough to make these beautiful cards. Praise God for all He's done to bring you (and Al) through this difficult time, and I continue to pray for you all! Big hugs and lots of love!
