My first Digi... Layers of Color Hummingbird

Hello everyone!  If you are here for the Thankful for Friends of Faith Blog Hop, please scroll down one post!

Layers of Color was one of the sponsors of this weekend's Thankful for Friends of Faith Blog Hop sponsored by SNR. They have a challenge going on and  I have been on the run all weekend and just got home about an hour ago and really wanted to make something for it, and not owning any LOC images "yet" I tried my first Digi. This Digi is a freebie from Squigglefly.

So I have never actually tried a digi before, though I do have a couple  waiting for me to try.   I put this in PS Elements and sized a little smaller than it comes, then simply printed it off on GPW Card Stock.  I didn't have time to let it "dry" if that was necessary so I heat set the ink just in case.  I colored it with Prisma Pencils and used my Nesties to cut it out, then I sponged it with T Holtz Distress Ink and Olive Ink from Our Daily Bread designs.  My papers are Bazzil (base), Cosmo Cricket Twist & Shout and BasicGrey Pheobe.  I used a MS punch and an EK Success punch and sponged everything.  I added a Prima Dandies One flower from Our Daily Bread designs.  I don't know when I've rushed a card any more and I have to admit it isn't my best work, but it is done and I'm happy to have done a quick one too!  Thanks so much for looking!  Have a blessed week!

Hi Grace! This is beautiful! Is the hummingbird a Layer of Color design? I looked all over for it and could not find it. If you are ever up this way, I'd love to meet! There aren't any great stamp stores up here, there's a pretty big scrapbook store, but they are not the friendliest, so it's not my favorite place to shop. You're not that far from Winston-Salem. The store out in Lewisville is huge!

This turned out great Grace.. I love the colors you chose.. They are perfect for this hummingbird.. I had one all summer that came right up on the deck. They are so pretty. Great job with your first digi.. Hope your weekend was great.

wow... I love it! For a card that's "not your best work", it's beautiful! I especially love the colours; the prima & punches finish it nicely! Thanks for sharing a quick card!!

What a beautiful card, Grace!

I would love to enter you in the drawing tonight, but this is not a Layers of Color digi. :( I can still enter your name in the Grand Prize drawing though! If you want to use a LOC image before Mr. Linky closes at 11:59 tonight, then I will be able to enter your name twice in both drawings!

Hugs!
