Another Sneak Peek!

ODBD stamps, Cathedral Window Marble, Mini Tags 3, designed by Grace Nywening

Hello friends!

Today, I'm sharing another sneak peek with you.  This is a wonderful new stamp and die set coming your way from Our Daily Bread designs on May 1!  The window is Cathedral Window Marble and the die is an ODBD Custom Cathedral Window Die and Border.  You are going to love it!!!  I also used a past release for the sentiment (Mini Tags 3) and the ODBD Custom Recipe Card and Tags Die for the tag die cut.  The lacy die is my new Spellbinders 5 x 7 Elegant Labels 4.

I started with a base of Prism Bronze, added my vanilla SB die cut mat, and then I used the next smaller die from this SB set with Ancient Monument Metallic, by Scrap Metals.  Playing off the tones in that paper, I used a blue vellum and heat embossed the Cathedral Window image in  a coppery embossing powder.  I cut my window once from the Ancient Monument Metallic, once from Vanilla, and once from black so I could add a little shadow to my window panes.  I like doing this to give some depth to the windows.

Now I just added some flowers, punched greenery from my Martha Stewart punch, and a little vanilla sheer bow for the tag, and I was done.  I love how this came out and know I will use this set often.  Stay tuned for more ideas coming your way soon!

I am entering this in Word Art Wednesday, where you can use their freebie sentiment or any Scripture or encouraging sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by... and I hope to see you back here on Wednesday for the release blog hop!

Happy Father's Day -A sneak peek!

ODBD stamps, Waves on the Sea, designed by Grace Nywening
Hello friends! Did you think I vanished?  Lol!  Well, I have been busy working in the yard and then I spent the weekend visiting our daughter and grandkids.  Our Granddaughter turned 12 today, and we celebrated last weekend.  We had so much fun having a "girl's day out"!  She had decided she wanted to go shopping with her birthday money, have lunch, and get our nails done as part of her celebration.  Well.... to make a long story short... we did shop, went for lunch and a coffee, but instead of getting our nails done, she fell in love with the hermit crabs they had in the mall, and we came home with an aquarium, all the fixings, and two hermit crabs.  I have to say, she will get many more hours of fun from watching those crabs!  I joked though and said that instead of coming home with pretty nails, we came home with claws!  LOL

Anyway... today I do have a sneak peek for you!  This is a peek at a set called Waves on the Sea, to be released by Our Daily Bread designs May 1, and I'm loving it!  I stamped with Memento, colored with Copics, and I added touches of white gel pen for waves and reflections.  I matted with black and blue.  The only embellishments are the two brads holding the sentiment panel, which is a Spellbinders Back to Basics Tag die.

I was also excited to find that ODBD is going to be offering these fabby "Stamped By" minis!  There are a bunch of cute images and fonts to put your personalized touch to the back of any card!  This one is Chickadee Stamped By and it's one of my faves!  These too will be available May 1!

Will be back with more fun soon!

The Flowers appear on the earth...

Our Daily Bread designs stamps, Morning Glory, designed by Grace Nywening
Hello friends!  I hope you are all doing well!

Today I am sharing a card I made for a couple challenges.  I used Morning Glory, one of this month's many new releases from Our Daily Bread designs.  The set is made to fit Spellbinders Labels 26, and so I cut it out with that, and then matted with Spellbinders Marvelous Squares.  I mounted that on a Cuttlebugged background, slightly tilted, and added a bow and bling.  It's CAS but I actually like how it came out.  The image is colored with Copics.  I'm loving all these Labels 26 sets this month!  I hope you do too!  I love that the design allows for many different verses to be stamped inside the post card.  This one is from Song of Solomon, and certainly is perfect for a spring card, and could be used for many different occasions.

Here is the set:

A little something fun!

Today I have something just fun to share with you.  I made an ornament using the Quatrefoil Design Die from Our Daily Bread designs.  All  I did to create this was die cut the Quatrefoil Design 5 times from white card stock. I also cut a length of gold cord long enough to pass through my beads at the bottom and to pass up to the top, where I tied it in a knot.  I folded each panel in half, and then  I used TomBow Metal Glue to to adhere each half to another half panel, while carefully keeping my gold cord in the center.  This glue will stick fast and hold tight, and it's a bit thicker than most, so you can run a very thin bead of it without having it ooze out when pressed together.  I love it for delicate work!  After adhereing all my panels together, I added a May Arts bow and tiny rose bud. to two sides so no matter what direction you see it from, you will see a pretty bow.  So quick and easy, but I think it would be a lovely little gift for a shut in or for a shower, just to name a couple possibilities.  I hope in some way you might be inspired to give it a try!

Look at the birds!

ODBD stamps, Finch Collage, Hymn Collage, Quaterfoil Design, designed by Grace Nywening
Hello my friends!  Today I'm excited to be sharing a card I made using several different ODBD sets.  I don't often say this, but I love how it came out!  I used the Finch Collage, Hymn Collage, Sing for Joy, and the Quatrefoil Design Die cut.  I also used a Spellbinders Adorning Squares die.  I stamped my images with Memento, fussy cut the elements from both the Finch Collage and the Hymn Collage, and colored with Copics.  I stamped the verse from the Sing for Joy set on a cut out of the largest background die of the Quatrefoil Design die set, and framed that with a Quatrefoil Design frame, which I cut with the larger background piece and the patterned piece inside of it, but I only used the outter frame that was created by the double cut.  I mounted that with dimensionals. The designer paper is sparkly and is by KaiserCraft

My card has more dimension than actually shows up in the photo.  I began the flowers I perceived as the furthest back with very tiny dimensionals, then I used increasingly thicker ones as I brought my layers forward.  The center flower is stamped twice and popped up and curled slightly on my piercer for more dimension.

Here are the ODBD products I used:

Blue Morning Glories

Our Daily Bread designs stamps, Morning Glory, Quatrefoil Pattern Die, designed by Grace Nywening
Hello my friends!  If you love morning glories as much as I do, you are loving this new set from Our Daily Bread designs!  It's called Morning Glory, and it has some wonderful sentiments and verses to fit in the sweet little post card of the image. I cut this image with SB Labels 26, which it was custom made to fit.   This brings back so many memories for me, as my Grandfather always planted blue morning glories on the back fence of his house in R.I.  While vegetable gardening was much more "his thing", every year those morning glories captured my heart.  I have matted my image with SB Labels One and inside I have used a gorgeous die also just released this month, Quatrefoil Pattern.  This is a beautiful A2 sized die which makes a beautiful card all by itself, but it also looks pretty on any card stock to pop your background a bit.  This was cut out of white card stock and then cut with the SB Labels One.  The base of this card is the pretty Grand Decorative Labels One by SB. The image is colored with Copics.  The sheer ribbon is May Arts and I added some blue bling to finish it off.

Here are the ODBD products I used:

I hope you have enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed creating it and remembering someone very special to me!

Here for you Always...

Our Daily Bread designs stamps, Romantic Floral Designs, Sentiments Collection 2, designed by Grace Nywening

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for this week's Queen for the Day over on SCS.  Our queen this week is Jan (Heartsong) and she has been on the ODBD Challenge team and has touched  many of our hearts with her beautiful work.  This card uses this month's ODBD Romantic Floral Designs on the top 3 layers, stamped in Memento Black or London Fog.  This stamp is made to fit SB Labels 26 and fits perfectly.  The sentiment is from Sentiments Collection 2.  The rest of the layers are Marvelous Rectangles by SB.  The flower is Prima, and the vines are Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish small, and the little boughs are an MS punch.

Here are the sets I used:

This is a little card... only a little over 4" square, but I love the size.

I am entering this in this week's Shining the Light Challenge, to make a card anything but square or rectangle.  It can be fancy edges, or other shapes.  This one used fancy edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I just love hearing from you!

Our Hope

Hello friends!  I have  a card to share today using this month's ODBD release of two fabulous dies: Quatrefoil Pattern, and Quatrefoil Design I cut these out of antique gold card stock and mounted over some pretty butterfly paper by K&Co.  I then stamped the ODBD Two Step Butterfly, cut with the custom ODBD Grunge butterfly die, and colored that with sponge daubers, adding a little bling.  Since the butterfly is a symbol of hope, I chose the word hope from the Words of Faith set, and then framed that with the Antique Label Designs set, and cut out with the ODBD Custom Antique Labels & Border die by SB.  The bow is a double made with May Arts silk.

Easy and quick... and that's what we all love, right?  These dies make the wow factor so easy to achieve without tons of layers and added "stuff".  I am LOVIN them!  :)

I am entering this in  Word Art Wednesday #74-Anything Goes, CCEE Stampers -  Things with Wings, Crafty Ribbons -  Anything Goes with Ribbon, Creative Moments -  Things with Wings, Divas by Design -  Spring Colors.

I have special family time coming up this weekend... and time with the grands, so I'm a happy grandma!  I trust that your life is filled with Hope... Our hope is in the Lord... and it's not just a hope, if we are His, it's assurance!

A Hymn, A Collage, A Challenge!

Hello my friends!  I have another new release to share with you.  This card is made using Our Daily Bread designs Hymn Collage, and Not Forgotten.  I played in this week's color challenge on SCS, which was to use Real Red, So Saffron and Pool Party, and any neutrals.  I came as close as I could.  I stamped my image with Memento ink and colored with Copics, coloring the flowers twice so I could pop them up and give some extra dimension to them.  I also added Black Diamond Stickles to the centers for some sparkle and texture.  I sponged the entire card which started out cream, with THoltz Distress ink in Scattered Straw. I distressed my edges with scissors, and inked some more.  I then used my craft blade to open a slit along the lower banner where I could insert my two sentiments from the Not Forgotten set, and I cut one tag with the ODBD Custom Recipe and Tags Die.

I can remember singing this hymn a lot as a kid.  I miss singing some of the old hymns!  I think this new stamp could have many great uses, whether for a service man or woman, or as way of encouragement to someone who IS fighting the good fight, and may be suffering for it....and it's a great reminder that as Christians we need to clad ourselves in the full armor of God and be on our guard, for our enemy prowls about seeking who he may devour.  If we are not alert, we can easily be sucked in to  the temptations of this world... but God has given us all we need to stand firm!  He has already won the victory... so we need to claim what's ours in Him!  I hope that encourages you today!

I am entering this in  Word Art Wednesday- Scripture and/or inspiration (free word Art each week)

So now... on to my project:

I created a gift set using the new Quatrefoil Pattern Die (Can you say LOVE???!!!), Romantic Floral Designs and the gorgeous Hyacinth set, made to perfectly fit the Spellbinders Label 26, which also is available at ODBD.  For my card I die cut the Quatrefoil Pattern from white card stock, and matted that on pretty green designer paper from K&Co.  I adhered that to a blue base.  I stamped the lacey Romantic Floral Design  image with Memento London Fog ink on the same green dp, and cut it out with  Spellbinders Labels 26.  I then stamped my focal image from the Hyacinth set with black on white.  I colored with Copics.

For my gift box, I created a pizza style box (sized to hold A2 cards), but I decided to put pretty pastel colored Jordon Almonds inside as a gift.   I cut another white Quatrefoil pattern, and using a craft knife, I cut out a window in the top of my box to fit the outer border of the die cut.  I adhered that to the inside of my box, and added some clear acetate to create my lid.  The designer paper is double sided, with a soft blue inside, so I used that to mat my card above. I had fits getting consistent colors on my photos, but you get the idea....
