ODBD Sept. New Release!

Hello friends!  Welcome to the ODBD  New Release for September!  With Christmas just around the corner, it's time to begin planning and creating our Christmas cards now!  So I'm super excited about this month's release!

Today Kelley is releasing some awesome new sets...not only stamps but some gorgeous new dies as well!!! You won't want to miss visiting my dt sisters for some great inspiration and a chance to win a prize!!

Prize Details:
Kelley will be choosing one random winner from one of the designers blog comments to receive a $50 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store  to be used towards the purchase of stamps.  You have until September 3, 2013 at 9:00pm EST to leave your comments on the designers blogs.  The Winner will be posted on the ODBD Blog on September 4th, so be sure to check back there to see if you have won.

Now on to my card details....

For my first sample,  I used a sentiment from the Jingle Bells set, and paired that with three of the GORGEOUS Fancy Ornament Dies!  I used blue metallic paper, silver metallic paper, and blue card stock from Hobby Lobby, on a white base.  I also embossed a layer of white with a Spellbinders EL-009 embossing folder.   I embellished with a punched glitter pine bough edge punch from  Martha Stewart, and a tiny silver bow.  The sentiment is stamped with Memento, and cut with SU! punches.

ODBD stamps: Jingle Bells, Fancy Ornaments Dies, designed by Grace Nywening

For my second sample,  I used O Little Town of Bethlehem Backgroud.

ODBD stamps Town of Bethlehem Background, Fancy Foliage Dies, designed by Grace Nywening
I used a periwinkle card stock and white embossing powder, and heat embossed the image on the blue.  I matted that with a white layer, and added greenery from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Dies, and the flourish, from the same die set is cut from white glitter paper from my local big box craft store.  I love the dimension this added!

I used a prima flower from my stash but to make it more sparkly, I added crystal effects to the tips of the petals and then added chunky glitter.  A May Arts ribbon finished it off.  This really was a pretty quick card to make!  It's simple enough to be made in mass, and yet has enough "extras" to make it elegant and festive.

Here are the ODBD products I used today:

I hope in some small way you have been inspired today!  Thanks so much for stopping by and for taking the time to say hello!  It makes my day to know you were here!!!

Here are the links to  my dt sisters ~ enjoy the inspiration and leave a comment to be eligible to win!

Music is always a winner with me - I just bought one of the hymn backgrounders in the sale - so of course I love the Little Town of Bethlehem and the lovely soft monochromatic treatment. But those ornaments - wow! They remind me of the brass ornaments we bought the first year we were married. Hanging them from the silver border is a lovely touch.
